A freelance copyeditor and proofreader since 2018, I offer professional editorial services: meticulous in attention to detail, a commitment to publication integrity and a completion date within an agreed timescale. I live and work in Glasgow, Scotland.

I am an Intermediate Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), working in line with their Code of Practice, and am CIEP-trained. I am also a member of the Glasgow Editors’ Network.

Previously, I worked as a Chartered Librarian for more than 20 years specialising in reference and local history information services, managing primary and secondary sources and resources, both print and online, and customer service delivery.

The breadth of experience and transferable skills gained during this period include elements and attributes that are proving invaluable for editing, such as information management and research, and the requirement for careful and thoughtful work and high levels of sustained concentration and focus. While working in libraries, I proofread a range of material for work-related projects, as well as for other clients.
